ABOUT US
Founded in 1983, the company has grown rapidly by being able to identify, anticipate and deliver the unique needs of individual clients. Today the company employs over 100 personnel in electrical engineering, contracting, control panel building and data installations.
This growth is testimony to the high levels of repeat business from major brand clients in the manufacturing, processing and construction sectors combined with business won as a result of referrals from delighted clients.
A private company, IDS can pursue its ideals without reference to external shareholders and, with a flat management structure decisions are made quickly. All this combines to ensure that IDS is responsive and clients can always access senior people within the organisation.
As a result IDS has many long-term relationships amongst its client base including Aston Martin, BMW Group, Ford, MG, Anglo Holt Construction and SDC Builders.
ELECTRICAL
Our in-house workforce has the capabilities of design, installation, testing and commissioning electrical services within various environments. From specification through to tender quotations, CAD drawings, design calculations and final O & M handover documents.
We are also an approved NICEIC domestic installer, allowing us to carry out electrical installations and certification to comply with Part P of the building regulations.
CONTROL
The IDS control systems team provides a dedicated workforce of skilled manufacturers and engineers. Our capabilities include, system and circuit design, custom manufacture, project management and site commissioning/training.
We manufacture a wide range of control panels, anything from wall mountable to floor standing enclosures or even motor control centres, many of our products are designed in-house to suit our clients needs. We believe in utilising today’s most advanced software and hardware technology to manufacture our products.
DATA NETWORKS
IDS Electrical’s network department carry out Data/network installation work in a variety of areas including Industrial, commercial and local authority using many reputable manufacturers equipment.
Our dedicated staff undertake installation of Data networks, phone systems and Voice over Data systems which conform to current Cat 5e and Cat 6 specifications, additionally we are accredited to install Cat 7 cable and equipment supplied by Datwyler a Swiss company which is currently used at all BMW Plants.
